A BILL to amend article fifteen, chapter seventeen-c of the code
of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section
fifty, relating to requiring seat belts in school buses.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article fifteen, chapter seventeen-c of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended,
be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section
fifty, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 15. EQUIPMENT.
§17C-15-50. Seat belts required on school buses.
Every school bus as defined in section seven, article one
of this chapter shall be equipped with a seat belt for the
driver's seat and each passenger seat therein.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require seat belts in
school buses.
